If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us at wilbuinn@sover.net.... Why select the Wilburton Inn for your Vermont wedding?
How much do Vermont weddings cost?In the peak wedding season, this facility fee for Holidays and Saturday evenings is $3,500. Saturday afternoons are $2,000.00 and Friday and Sunday afternoons or evening are $2,500. During Peak Foliage, our facility fee is $4500.00 for any evening. Before May 18th and after October 21, the indoor facility fee is $1,500 for the private use of the Inn. For more information about the cost of ceremonies, please go to our Pricing Page. How many guests can we have at our ceremony? The Wilburton Inn has indoor capacity for 160 dining guests or 200 guests by adding seating on the upper terrace. 250 guests can be seated outdoors in a tent on the lower terrace. 250 guests can be accommodated with partial seating in a grazing party or cocktail party. We ask that you have a minimum of 100 guests to have a Saturday evening event in our peak summer season and 120 during peak foliage. We offer some flexibility to late bookings based on availability. Remember, on average, twenty percent of the guests you invite may not be able to attend. Can we have both the service and the reception at the Inn?Yes, you can have both the service and the reception here, and there are several locations that you can select for your service: our large living room, the lower terrace outdoors, or on any of our stately twenty acres. Are there any limitations to the hours of my ceremony and reception?Because of the noise ordinance in Manchester Village, we limit outside amplified music to 11:00 PM. If you would like to have dancing inside or music inside, we do not have any time restriction. Generally, couples plan on a combined ceremony and reception time of 6 hours, but we are flexible with additional time. Can we provide any of our own alcoholic beverages for the reception? No, the Wilburton Inn must provide any alcoholic beverage consumed in the common areas of the grounds and Inn. We must also provide a state licensed bartender to provide the alcohol. This is a Vermont Law for those businesses having a liquor license. Do you have a minimum night stay requirement?During Peak Wedding Season (May-October), we require a two night or three night stay. Other dates, there is some flexibility but most weekends require two nights from the majority of the guests. We only require that the 11 rooms in the main house be booked. The rest of the rooms are optional for your group. How much are the initial and subsequent deposits and are they refundable? The deposit is the facility fee for the wedding date. There are two more deposits of 1/3 of the estimated invoice due six months and three months before the event. All of our deposits are nonrefundable, but we are willing to reschedule the event within a year based on availability. Other than the price of the food, bar, and facility fee, what are additional costs at the Wilburton Inn?We add a 9% tax on food and a 10% tax on alcohol. There is a 20% gratuity added before tax which takes care of your service for the evening. There is a $3.50 per person charge for a ceremony on the grounds. What other costs should we think about outside of the Wilburton Inn?You may need: Entertainment-DJ or Band for dancing, Ceremony Music, and Cocktail Hour Music, Photographer, Cake Baker, Hairstylist, Videographer, Florist, and Invitations. Please refer to our vendor page. Do you have a reference list for outside vendors and can we only use your recommendations? We do provide a reference list for all types of vendors. If you are having difficulty locating a particular type of vendor, I am happy to research additional options. You are always free to use people that you know, but we do support local businesses as much as possible. Will the quality of an event in Vermont meet the standards of one we could do in the city?Vermont is one of the largest wedding states in America. There are many professionals and resources with years of experience. Often, their personalized nature and expertise surpass expectations. What if we have a rainy day?We can arrange for a rain plan tent, or have the ceremony on the back terrace or in the living room. There is a lot of space to utilize at the Wilburton. Do we need to pay for an additional wedding planner? Most of my clients do not need or use an additional wedding planner. Some people need help finding their reception site, compiling a list for invitations, and planning parties at their homes or at event sites with no coordination available. A lot of venues are now offering an in house coordinator. They tend to have the best ideas and experience about what works well for their location. How is a typical schedule for a wedding at the Wilburton Inn?I’m not sure that there is a typical wedding, but here are some general ideas of schedule and setup:
At what time of the year can I get the most value for my wedding?During the early Spring, particularly April and May the facility fee is lowest and the room rates are at the best value. In fact, the climate change has given Vermont a beautiful green and colorful spring season without the mud seasons of the past. What is your mailing address? Our address is: |
